A woman from Uttar Pradesh, has been raped multiple times by Father-in-Law. Police filed case against them, under BNSS Act,2023 and Muslim women protection Act.

Recently, an incident has highlighted, Uttar Pradesh, where one woman was brutally raped by her father-in-law at gunpoint. She claimed that later on after her husband divorced her on mobile phone by pronouncing triple talaq, this incident was reported by Police.

She also told that when she was raising issue over this incident her mother-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in- law assaulted her instead of helping her, now police have already registered a case against all 5 members. If we look at the history of this woman well, she was the resident of Lucknow who got married in 2023.

Father-in-law took advantage of her in absence of her husband and when she raised issue regarding this her mother-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law assaulted her and told her to keep her mouth shut. However, when police investigated her husband, he claimed that she was having affair with another man and which certainly lead to marital disputes.

She also told that after she returned to her parental home her husband and the marriage on telephone by pronouncing triple talaq. Right now, the case has been registered against father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law under the provision of BNSS and Muslim women protection of rights on marriage act.

The notable fact in this case that triple talaq was declared illegal in 2019 according to this provision any Muslim man who pronounces triple talaq can face up to 3 years in the present and a fine as a consequence of non-compliance of this rule.
