Elon Musk has once again shared a bold prediction about how artificial intelligence and robotics might change the future of work.
In a conversation with Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath on the People by WTF podcast, Musk has now come up with a new statement and has said that jobs may soon become optional instead of necessary.
The episode was released this Sunday, and the whole video quickly went viral because of his strong statements about how fast technology is changing.
During the discussion, Musk has also said that AI and robots are improving at a tremendous pace and could eventually handle most of the work currently done by humans.

He also believes that machines may soon produce most of the goods and services, which would come with almost no human involvement.
If that happens, the traditional idea of working for a living may no longer be the most important.
Musk has his prediction very clearly. He has also said, “In the future, working will be optional.”
He has also added that people could check this prediction in the upcoming twenty years to see if he was wrong, although he still feels confident about it.
According to him, such a future might not even take that long. He has also recently said it could become a reality in the next ten to fifteen years because of rapid technological progress.
He also said that advanced AI and robotics could make the idea of goods and services easily available to everyone. “If you can think of it, you can have it,” Musk claimed, pointing to a future where technology can fulfil almost every need.
