The clip’s rapid cuts and dramatic action suggest ambitious planning, exhilarating action, and surprising turns, indicating that this installment will strive to surpass earlier criminal endeavors.
The show began on December 29, 2023, and is a precursor to the popular Spanish heist-thriller Money Heist. It is based on the life of Andres de Fonollosa, also known as Berlin, the humorous older brother of The Professor. Berlin is a grand larcenist, jewel thief, and cracksman who is near death.
Berlin’s second season will debut on Netflix on May 15. The upcoming installment will consist of eight episodes and was created by the renowned team of Álex Pina and Esther Martínez Lobato. Pina, Martínez Lobato, David Barrocal, Lorena G. Maldonado, and Itziar San Juan wrote the episodes.
A group of filmmakers, including Albert Pintó, David Barrocal, and Jose Manuel Cravioto, who have previously worked on films like Nowhere, Sky Rojo, El refugio at “ico,” and Diablero, will helm the series. Michelle Jenner, Tristán Ulloa, Begoña Vargas, Julio Peña Fernández, and Joel Sánchez will also be included in the next season.
