Class 12 Re-Evaluation Process Delayed as CBSE Upgrades Website, New Date is June 1

CBSE has now extended the date of Portal. Students will be able to get the scanned copies earlier than ever before. There is also a significant decline in result of class 12.

The CBSE has put back the launch of its portal regarding the verification and revaluation of class 12th answer sheet. The date has now changed from my 29 to June 21 ,2026. As per the statement which was posted on social media by CBSE headquarter on Friday.

The board claim that the decision was taken to make sure that the process for student who are seeking verification and revaluation remain transparent and glitch free so that students won’t face any future problem or any issue related to their results. The name of the portal is Post result activities portal. It has now been finalized that the portal will be operational from 1st June 2026. This has been done so that the highest standards and the protocols of evaluation can be fully met.

The board also suggested student who are having queries to contact CBSE tele counselling helpline at the number 1800 118004. One of the CBSE official also mention that the portal would not open on Friday which was priorly expected.

The official also share that CBSE will soon share and update on restarting the portal and if portal does not open on Friday it will open on June 1 because the work over the website is still going on in order to strengthen its accuracy.

The re-evaluation and verification option is only available for the candidates who have priorly applied for   scanned copies and obtained their answer books.

Re opening of portal on June 1 will be the next stage of post result process under on screen marking (OSM) system said, educational ministry official. Officials also stated that student who had initially obtain their scanned copies now they will receive and opportunity to raise questions and objections if they believe they have not been given proper marks.

The questions over which students challenge and raise query on will get evaluated again and change of marks will be made said by educational ministry official. Officials articulated that candidates would get the chance to challenge individual questions rather than reviewing the entire answer script.

In this process student can see a re-evaluation and then raise queries regarding the question wise marking. Once the objections are summitted by student the revaluation process will take place and if there is any error found the marks will be allotted to re students and the revised scorecard will be made to students.

Candidates will be able to submit their questions along with their reason supporting their claims and students have been advice to compare their response with the official marking scheme granted for any particular subject.

The board also mention that candidate to provide information or questions in a manner that can be easily comprehended and their request can be evaluated. Candidates are supposed to pay 500 rupees per answer book for verification of marks while re-evaluation. Meanwhile for revaluation request it carries of fee of rs 100 per question.

This particular process of revaluation was introduced only after the concerned the ray by some students and the Teachers following this year class 12th result which was being entirely assessed by newly on -screen marking system.

However, to revert the students concern ministry of education and CBSE announced substantial reduction in the charges and assured student that their fees will be refunded if their mark gets increased after evaluation.

The fees which were charged for obtaining a stand copy was initially 700rs and now it has reduced 200rs per subject and the verification charges which were 500rs has now come down 200rs. The fees for revaluation cut from 100rs to 25rs for question.

At first students used to apply for verification of their copies and then used to wait for evaluated copies but from now onwards on this OSM based system they get there can copies early. How ever this system is debatable because the pass percentage of class 12 has come down from 88.39% to 85.20%. This is one of the most significant decline in past 7 years.

Nonetheless CBSE and education minister official have advocated for the system and also added that answer scripts were evaluated entirely by train teachers, and no artificial intelligence was being used in checking process. CBSE chairperson Rahul Singh stated that around 77000 teachers were involved in evaluation process after undergoing through structured training.
