It’s for the first time that Indian prime minister is visiting Slovakia since 1993. Recently PM Modi has made an appearance to the country of Europe called Slovakia. Since 1993 it’s for the first time that Indian minister is visiting slow after its independence.
According to Slovak ambassador, the appearance made by Mr. Narendra Modi would surely accelerate the trade, businesses in technology between both the countries.
Over the next few days, I will be in France and Slovakia to attend various programmes, including bilateral talks, multilateral engagements and interaction with the Indian diaspora. The focus will be on boosting economic as well as cultural linkages.

This visit provides an opportunity to Deepen India’s Slovakia relations and explore new avenues of cooperation looking forward to productive meetings with President Pellegrini and prime minister Fico. According to Mr. Narendra Modi he described the trip as historic and considered this as a momentum to build bilateral relations.
According to some reports India and Slovakia are considering to expand corporation mainly in trade and investment, automobile, manufacturing, railway production and many other upcoming technologies. After this visit to Slovakia Modi then will travel to France in order to participate in G7 summit on June 16-17.
On 16th and 17th June I will be in Evian to participate in the G7 Summit. I will be interacting with various world leaders and discussing a wide range of subjects. India will always focus on giving voice to the aspirations of the Global South.@G7

And on June 18 he will attend Viva text 2026 which is Europe’s largest technology and start up event. Slovakia played a very important role to India specially in the automotive sector which has accelerated the economic engagement between India and Slovakia.
Slovakia has supplied significant number of luxury vehicles to India specially Porsche if you have seen on Indian roads that usually got manufactured in Slovakia. Apart from luxury cars Slovakia also exchanged a lot of automative components and spare parts from India for its manufacturing industry.
If we talk about the trade alone in special in the automotive sector it approximately sums up to 300 million euro annually. The amount is highly attractive and promising which accelerates the growth of both the countries.

This is when situation for both the countries, the message is very clear from both the governments of both the countries India and Slovakia is that there is a friendly corporation and they want to deepen the corporation trade and investment across all the sectors.
