Former cricketer and Team India head coach Gautam Gambhir has been warned to keep off social media after a controversial post landed him in controversy online.
Gautam Gambhir Told to Stay Away From Social Media After Controversial Post

Gautam Gambhir, the head coach of India, manages to be in the spotlight regardless of how things are going for him. The head coach addressed a message made by Congressman Shashi Tharoor on X (previously Twitter) a few days ago.

Tharoor claimed that coaching the Indian cricket team is the second most difficult job in the nation, after prime minister. Gambhir addressed the erroneous notion that the head coach will have “unlimited authority” in his response to Tharoor.

In response to Gambhir’s remark, seasoned Indian batter Ajinkya Rahane encouraged him to refrain from using social media till the T20 World Cup was over. However, Gambhir has been told to focus entirely on the squad and not on social media, as the T20 World Cup is still a few weeks away.

The T20 World Cup at home is still the Indian team’s next major task. India has a 3-0 lead in the current five-match series against New Zealand, which is being used as a practice run for the major event. They have won the first three games of the series convincingly.

All I can say in reaction to this is that GG need to avoid social media. Most likely, he shouldn’t give much thought to what other people are saying or saying about him. Rahane stated on Cricbuzz, “He coached Team India, which is a very responsible job, and he played his cricket in a great manner.”

“He thought to put the team first and avoid social media. That’s what I think. “Let’s just concentrate on the most important thing: avoid social media until the World Cup is over,” he continued.

After meeting Gambhir in Nagpur, Tharoor was hired. “In Nagpur, enjoyed a good & frank discussion with my old friend & @GautamGambhir, the man with the hardest job in India after the PM’s,” he posted on social media. Millions of people question him every day, but he remains composed and continues without fear. A note of gratitude for his capable leadership and quiet resolve. I’m wishing him every success, beginning today.

In response to the post, Gambhir wrote: “Many thanks, Dr. @ShashiTharoor! The reality and logic about a coach’s purported “unlimited authority” will become evident as the dust settles. Until then, I find it amusing to compete against the best of my own. India is expected to be among the favorites going into the T20 World Cup after winning the New Zealand series.

Experienced Indian batter Ajinkya Rahane advised head coach Gautam Gambhir to “stay away from social media” and not focus too much on what is being written about him online. The former opening batsman for India ignited the internet last week with his response to a tweet from Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, reportedly speaking out about the rumors of a breach between veteran hitters Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

When Tharoor and Gambhir met prior to the first Twenty20 International between India and New Zealand in Nagpur, the former said that Gambhir’s position was the second most challenging after that of the nation’s prime minister.
