In Uttar Pradesh, a Class 7 boy’s passion for momo took an unexpected and startling turn when his family lost jewelry valued at around Rs 85 lakh due to a simple yearning for his favorite snack.
A seemingly harmless eating habit quickly turned into a manipulative case. Three men manning a neighborhood momo booth allegedly persuaded the boy by providing “free momo” and gradually encouraged him to bring valuables from home in exchange.
The instance comes from the city of Deoria in Uttar Pradesh. Varanasi temple priest Vimlesh Mishra claimed in the complaint that his son loves momo. He claimed that three males who run a momo stall utilized this habit to deceive the youngster.
Vimlesh claimed that the stall owners promised to offer his son free momo provided he brought jewelry from home. Slowly, the child grabbed jewellery from his own residence and handed it all over to the three men.
When Vimlesh’s sister came to their house and requested her jewellery, the truth was revealed. The family was startled to see that everything was gone as soon as they opened the cabinet. Upon being questioned, the youngster revealed that he had handed the jewelry to the momo vendors in order to receive free momo.
