The JEE Main January session results are expected to be made public by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on February 12. The JEE Main final answer key is often made available either prior to or concurrently with the results announcement. The official JEE Main 2026 websites, jeemain.nta.nic.in and nta.ac.in, will release the results and cut-off. Applications for the April session are presently being accepted by the agency.
JEE Mains Session 1 Final Answer Key 2026
On February 6, the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 provisional answer key objection period ended. Admission to undergraduate engineering (BE/BTech), architecture (BArch), and planning (BPlanning) programs at participating public and private universities nationwide will be determined by the scores.
The computer-based JEE Main 2026 Session 1 test took place from January 21 to January 29. Two shifts per day were used to administer the exam: the morning shift, which ran from 9 am to 12 pm, and the afternoon shift, which ran from 3 pm to 6 pm.
On February 11, 2025, the JEE Main January session results were made public by the NTA. That year, the exam took place between January 22 and January 30. In the January session of last year, the exam-conducting organization removed twelve questions from the answer keys.
JEE Main 2026’s BE and BTech exams were administered from January 21 to January 28. Candidates and experts evaluated the exam as somewhat difficult, with different shifts and subjects having various levels of difficulty.

JEE Main Session 1 Results 2026 Live: Overall difficulty level
Overall, the JEE Main paper was quite difficult on all days. On certain days, especially during evening sessions, the mathematics section included a number of long and intricate problems that raised the total difficulty to moderate to difficult.

On other days, however, some shifts, notably in Physics and Chemistry, were a little easier. In contrast, morning shifts tended to be more balanced than afternoon or late ones. The degree of shift wise volatility during the four day test window was within the expected range in spite of these fluctuations.
