India observed the 26/11 remembrance day with deep respect as the nation paid tribute to all the victims and even the heroes of the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.
President Droupadi Murmu has also conveyed a very strong message, thereby urging the country to combat the concept of terrorism in all forms and also urged the country to stay alert against any threat that targets peace and national security.
Her words served as a great and gentle reminder of the painful incident that shook the nation and changed the way India once viewed safety and its preparedness on the same.
President Murmu has also honoured the memory of the civilians, police officers, and security personnel who lost their lives during the attack.
She has also highlighted their courage and sacrifice, noting that their bravery continues to inspire the nation. The President has thereby also emphasised the importance of unity, thus stating that terrorism can only be defeated when the entire nation stands together with determination.
Memorial events were also held across the country, especially in the area of Mumbai, where special ceremonies took place to honour the martyrs.
Families of the victims, senior officials, and members of the armed forces were also the ones who participated in tributes, and they even observed moments of silence.
Floral wreaths were also laid at memorial sites, thus carefully and wholly reminding everyone of the sacrifices made to protect the country.
In her message, President Murmu has thereby also stressed the need for strengthened security systems, better intelligence cooperation, and even to increase the aspect of public awareness.
