Sonakshi Sinha urges action as Mumbai’s air quality plunges to dangerous levels

Actress Sonakshi Sinha warned about worsening air pollution in Mumbai, highlighting how the smog hides the city's famous sea link.

Mumbai, India’s one of the busiest cities, is facing a grave problem with air pollution. Recently, the air quality got so bad that a thick layer of smog covered the entire city. Bollywood stars like actress Sonakshi Sinha shared her concern about this issue on social media.

She said the famous Bandra-Worli Sea Link, which she used to see clearly from her home, is now invisible because of the pollution.

She raised her concerns about air pollution through her social media, even calling it “doomsday” and urged Mumbai residents and authorities to wake up and take action before it is too late.

Sonakshi’s post showed how bad the situation has become from the eyes of a resident in the city.

The sky over Mumbai is covered with smog, making it hard to see far. This is not just happening in Mumbai; cities like Delhi are also struggling with very poor air quality.

And in Delhi we are seeing numerous protests going on due to rising air pollution, even reaching hazardous levels of pollutants in the environment.

Experts and pulmonologists are advising people to leave Delhi. Or has advised on wearing an N95 mask whenever outside and installing air purifiers at home.

Actress Kriti Sanon also spoke about how the air in Delhi has worsened a lot over the years. She said something needs to be done soon before the situation gets worse.

Even musician Vishal Dadlani asked a tough question on social media- why don’t people in Mumbai care about the toxic air that they are breathing?

This question is important because air pollution is a big health risk. It can cause problems like breathing difficulties, asthma, cancer and heart issues.

People living in Mumbai and other cities should be more aware and demand cleaner air. Mumbai’s pollution problem needs urgent attention from both the government and the public.

Reducing pollution will require everyone’s effort, from using greener transport to controlling industrial emissions.

At the same time, citizens should also help by reducing waste and using eco-friendly options.

If no action is taken, more health problems and damage to the environment are expected.

Sonakshi Sinha’s message is a wake-up call for all Mumbaikars. The time to act is now, for our healthier and cleaner future.
