The Staff Selection Commission has finally opened the online registration for SSC GD Constable 2026, announcing a total of 25,487 vacancies across CAPFs, Assam Rifles and SSF.
Candidates who have passed their Class 10 can apply through the official website ssc.gov.in.
The registration process began on 1 December 2025 and will now continue until 31 December 2025.
The last date for fee payment is 1 January 2026 and a correction window will be available from 8 to 10 January 2026. The Computer Based Exam is also expected to be held between February and April 2026.
The application fee for General, OBC and EWS candidates is ₹100.
Candidates belonging to SC, ST, Ex-servicemen and all female applicants do not have to pay any fee. The age limit for applying is 18 to 23 years as on 1 January 2026, with relaxation for reserved categories as per rules.
To apply for the SSC GD Constable 2026 exam, candidates need to visit ssc.gov.in and complete the process of One-Time Registration if they have not done it before.
After logging in, they must fill out the online form by entering personal, educational and communication details.
They also need to upload a photograph, signature and required documents in the correct format.
Once the details are filled, candidates have to pay the application fee if applicable. After submitting the form, they should download the confirmation page for future use.
The vacancies have also been properly divided among various categories. The vacancy distribution for male candidates is as follows: SC 3433, ST 2091, OBC 5329, EWS 2416 and UR 10198, making a total of 23467.
For female candidates, the breakup is SC 269, ST 222, OBC 436, EWS 189 and UR 904, with a total of 2020. Together, male and female vacancies add up to 25487.
