OSSTET 2026: What was the 2025 performance?
Of the 75,403 candidates who enrolled for Papers 1 and 2, 72,413 were deemed qualified in 2025. Notably, 48,153 applicants passed both exams, increasing the pass rate to 66.50 percent overall.
A total of 29,004 candidates enrolled for Paper 1, of whom 27,533 appeared and 12,988 qualified, yielding a 47.17% pass rate. With 46,399 registered, 44,880 appeared, and 35,165 qualified for Paper 2, the pass rate increased to 78.35%.
72,413 of the 75,403 applicants who registered for both papers actually showed up. 48,153 of these applicants were able to pass, increasing the overall pass rate to 66.50 percent. This demonstrates a better performance in Paper 2 than in Paper 1, which reflects differences in service teachers’ success rates per subject.
