The Combined Civil Services Competitive Examination 2025, which will fill 103 positions in nine different state services, has been announced by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC). This recruiting process is one of the largest state-level recruitment exams of the year because it involves major administrative and police positions like Deputy Collector and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).

For a number of positions in the state’s General Administrative Department, the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) administers the Jharkhand Combined Civil Service test. To choose competent candidates for a range of roles in its departments and ministries, the Jharkhand government administers the JPSC Exam.

There are three phases to the JPSC exam: preliminary, major, and personal interviews. In order to find candidates for administrative positions in Jharkhand, JPSC organizes the Civil Service Exam in accordance with Article 315 of the Indian Constitution.

The recruiting exam’s online application procedure will begin on January 31, 2026, and run through February 14, 2026, at 5:00 PM. The main test is scheduled for May 2–4, 2026, while the preliminary exam is scheduled for March 8, 2026. As long as they are within the age range, candidates are allowed to take the test as many times as they choose. It should be emphasized that there is no cap on the number of attempts.

Total vacancies and Post-wise distribution

A total of 103 positions across nine different services will be filled by the Combined Civil Services Examination 2025. the distribution of open positions by post and category.

Examination Schedule and Selection Process

The commission states that the preliminary examination is scheduled for March 8, 2026. Candidates who make it through the preliminary stage up to 15 times the total number of openings will be able to show up for the scheduled main exam. The interview is tentatively scheduled for June 16–19, 2026. The combined scores from the interview and the main exam will be used to create the final merit list.

Maximum qualifying marks

To qualify for the main examination:

  • 40% marks are mandatory for General category candidates.
  • 34% for Extremely Backward Classes (EBC)
  • 36.5% for Backward Classes (BC)

There are no minimum qualifying scores required for this level, and the interview will be worth 100 points.

Limited vacancies in certain services

Some services have a very limited number of posts. For instance:

  • District Samadeshta (Home Department): 2 posts (1 UR, 1 BC)
  • Probation Officer (Home Department): 4 posts (2 UR, 2 BC)
  • Assistant Director (Women and Child Development Department): 3 posts (2 UR, 1 ST)
  • Assistant Registrar (Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperatives department): 2 posts (1 UR, 1 ST)

Reservation Details

This year, there is no horizontal reservation offered for the tribal/sportsperson categories. However, there is:

  • Reservation for two posts for women (Deputy Collector and DSP)
  • Reservation for seven posts for persons with disabilities

  • Step 2: Click on the notification for the Combined Civil Services Examination 2025.
  • Step 3: Finish the online registration process.
  • Step 4: Fill out the application form with personal and educational details.
  • Step 5: Upload the necessary documents, photo, and signature.
  • Step 6: Pay the exam fee online by 16 February 2026 (5:00 PM).
  • Step 7: Submit the application form and download a copy for reference.
