The GATE 2026 examination will be held between February 7 and February 15, 2026, across multiple centres in India and abroad.
The GATE 2026 admit card was made public on January 13 by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati. The official websites, gate2026.iitg.ac.in and goaps.iitg.ac.in, will allow candidates to download their GATE 2026 admission cards. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026 is being organized by IIT Guwahati.
The GATE 2026 exam will take place in several locations in India and overseas between February 7 and February 15, 2026.
To prevent last-minute problems on test day, candidates taking the GATE 2026 exam must carefully check all the information displayed on their admit card. The candidate’s name and parents’ names are important elements that must be verified; they must match the information provided in the application form and be spelled correctly. Any inconsistency in personal information could cause issues when it comes to exam center verification.
The paper or paper combinations listed on the admit card must match the ones chosen during the application procedure.
The photo and signature that are printed on the admit card must match the ones that were uploaded during registration and be easily readable. If a candidate’s identity does not match the photo on their admit card, they might not be allowed to take the test. Additionally, information like the site of the exam center, the time of the session, the reporting time, and crucial instructions for the day of the exam should be carefully reviewed.
Candidates are urged to get in touch with the GATE administering body at IIT Guwahati right once if there is a mistake or inconsistency on their GATE 2026 admit card so that the problem can be fixed well in advance of the exam.
