City intimation slip This is the significant document of pre-admit card that assists candidates to make travel and accommodation arrangements beforehand. Nevertheless, it is not the admit card. Official admit cards will be given much nearer to the date of examination and Board has indicated that they shall be availed two days before the examination.

The CTET exam is to be conducted on February 8, 2026. It is projected that the results will be announced provisionally by the close of March 2026. The applicants should always visit the official site to receive regular updates regarding admit card, examination requirements, and declaration of results.

CTET is a national level eligibility test which is a qualitative mandatory qualification of applicants of teaching jobs in central government schools in India. These are Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas and other schools that are under the administrative supervision of the central government.

CTET scores are also used in recruitment of teachers in many state governments and other private schools and therefore the exam is very competitive.

The 21st in the series, the CTET this year has received a lot of response overwhelmingly among aspirants. The application window was first open between November 27 and 18, 2025. Over 25 lakh applicants were successful in filing their application forms during this time, showing that teaching a career is most preferable in the country.

The data that has been provided by the Board indicates that towards the end of the application phase, there has been an increase in the number of registrations.

Another three and a half lakh applicants had applied on the second last day itself and more than four lakh applications had been received on the last day of the registration window. This rush was last minute, and this pressure on the application system, as well as a large number of incomplete registrations, resulted.

The application data was later reviewed by the officials who discovered that more than one and a half lakh registrations remained incomplete and were not turned into final submissions. Such candidates had already initiated their process but failed to complete all the necessary steps like paying fees or making final confirmation before the deadline.

The Board acted sympathetically in the face of the situation. This version of CTET was being administered only after a period of approximately one year, which meant that the people in charge recognized that a great number of prospective teachers were eager to take part.

In a directive note, the director said that the Board took into account the hardship of the candidates and agreed to relieve by reopening the application window in a specific time frame. This was done to make sure that the real candidates who failed to complete their forms because of technical or personal factors did not waste a whole year.
