CBSE is set to issue the Class 10 and Class 12 admit cards in the 2026 board examinations very soon among regular students. As the exams approach, students all over the country are anxiously anticipating the stature declaration by the board.
According to the timetable of exams that have already been made public by the CBSE, the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations will start on February 17, 2026. According to historical patterns, CBSE normally sends admit cards five to seven days prior to commencement of exams. Based on this trend, regular students admit cards would be announced by the first week of February 2026.
It is necessary to mention that ordinary students will not be able to download admit cards by themselves. The hall tickets will be delivered to regular students at their respective schools unlike the case of private candidates where the admit cards are availed online and can be downloaded.
CBSE portal will provide the admit cards and school authorities will download and distribute it to students after checking all the details.
Admit card is also a requirement to appear in board exams. Without it, students will not be permitted to access the examination centre. The hall ticket includes significant details like the name of the student, roll number, school number, address of the exam centre, exam dates in each subject, examination timetables, and examination instructions on the day of exam.
After students are issued with their admit cards, they are expected to thoroughly verify all the information on the admit cards. Name mistake, date of birth, subject and exam centre mistakes must be reported promptly to the school authorities. One should make corrections long before the exams to prevent last moment pressure.
CBSE board exams are a significant scholastic event among the students with lakhs of students appearing annually. Releasing the admit cards in time assists the students to schedule their travel plans, change their schedules and get ready in advance to the exams. Students should remain calm and concentrate on their preparations with less than a month before the exams are to start.
The schools are also supposed to make students aware of the availability of admit cards as soon as possible. Students are to remain in normal communication with their class teachers and school administration to know about the issuance of hall tickets.
Currently, CBSE has not specified the time of admission card release. Nevertheless, given the past years and the timeframe of exams, it can be anticipated that the admit cards will be issued soon.

Students are encouraged to trust the official announcements made by CBSE and their respective schools and do not trust what they heed on social media. When the exams are near by, making sure that the admit card is ready and that every detail is checked will make it a hassle free exam run.
