The Bihar Public Service Commission has now announced the results of the 71st Combined Preliminary Examination.
Candidates who had appeared for the exam can now easily go and check their results on the official BPSC website at bpsc.bihar.gov.in.
The result has been published in a PDF file that contains all the roll numbers of all the candidates who have qualified for the next stage.
The prelims exam was held on 13 September 2025 across many districts in Bihar.
More than three lakh candidates appeared for the exam, thus making it a highly competitive exam.
Out of these, over fourteen thousand candidates have actually qualified. This includes candidates who applied for the Integrated Combined Examination as well as the post of Financial Administrative Officer.
The commission has clearly listed the number of candidates who have been selected for each category in the result PDF.
To check the result, the candidates need to visit the official website and then click on the link available under the “Results” section.
After downloading the PDF, they can easily open it and search for their roll number to know if they have passed.
Candidates are also advised to keep a copy of the result for future use, as it will be needed during the next stages of the whole recruitment process.
The BPSC has also reminded the candidates that this is only the preliminary stage.
The next step is the mains examination, which is more detailed and even requires thorough and detailed preparation.
The schedule, syllabus, and even the instructions for the mains exam will be released soon on the website. Candidates who have cleared the prelims should now start preparing early to improve their chances of success in the next round.
This announcement also would help to bring relief to thousands of students who were also waiting for the results.
The release of the preliminary results also helps to mark an important step toward recruitment for several government posts in Bihar.
