Time Table During the month of December, Examiner Perhaps during the month of February 2026.
Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) is set to release date sheet of Class 10 (Matric) and Class 12 (Intermediate) board exams in 2026.
The ultimate schedule is yet to be published, but it is rumored that the students will see the program in early December 2025, which by this time is the consistent trend of the board to publish their timetable early.
BSEB announces the date sheet every year in good time such that the schools and students have ample time to prepare their studies.
Considering the past few years, the Intermediate exams are normally held by the board during the first half of February, and Matric exams in the second half of February. This projection is likely to go on even in the 2026 academic year.
Upon release, students will be in a position to download time table in the official websites:
It will contain dates of subject wise examination, shift time, guidelines and instructions to the theory and practical examination.
The exams are usually held by the board in two shifts a day:
Morning Shift: 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM
Afternoon Shift: 1:45 PM to 5:00 PM
Such schedules are likely to persist with the 2026 exams unless the board changes their mind.
Dates to Be Expected in Exams According to the Trends
Assuming that the Bihar Board will remain with the same schedule of timetables, the 2026 exams table will appear as possible to meet the following:
For Class 12 (Intermediate):
- Probably will start in week one of February 2026.
- The exams can be prolonged to 7-10 days with Science, Commerce, and Arts streams.
For Class 10 (Matric):
- Anticipated to be starting in the third week of February 2026.
- Examinations last an approximate of one week.
Practical Exams:
BSEB conducts practical exams preceding the theory tests. Class 12 Practicals would be conducted during January 2026 and Class 10 Practicals would be a smaller scale conducted in Schools.
These are not official dates but inform the students well when to commence the preparation depending on the normal annual schedule.
Reasons why the Early Date Sheet is Important to Students
Bihar Board is said to be one of the first boards in India announcing timetables of examinations and announcing results immediately. An early time table is not only beneficial in planning, but also in revising, practicing tests and covering the syllabus on time.
The following are some of the significant advantages to the students:
- Better Time Management: Great realism and effectiveness of the study plan could be developed by the student when the exact dates of the exam could be determined.
- Stronger Revision Strategy: It is likely that with the schedule coming shortly, the students will be allowed to begin splitting their subjects based on their difficulty levels and weighted marks.
- Reduced Exam Stress: Being on track early reduces the anxiety level and keeps the students preparing rather than being preoccupied over the school timetable.
- Ample Time to Work out Preparation: Practical exams should be given environmental consideration particularly among students of science. To get a balance between theory and practical studies, an early date sheet will assist them.
- Easier for Schools: Depending on the schedule, schools can arrange pre board exams, in school exams and revision classes to be administered by teachers.
What Students Should Do Now
Students are advised to await the date sheet coming out officially by the Bihar Board, until this day:
- Continue using the official websites in order to get real updates.
- Do not use the rumours of social media or imaginary schedules.
- Begin to revise those chapters that bear more marks or those that were challenging in classes.
- Just work on the question papers of past years to be aware of how it will be.
- Write responses on the questions within three hours.
An effective study schedule alongside effective preparation material and practice will enable the students to deliver their best in the 2026 board exams.
