The NEET PG 2026 and NEET MDS 2026 tentative schedule was made public today by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). The official announcement states that both tests will be administered in computer-based test (CBT) style at locations all around the nation.

The tentative exam schedule for NEET-PG 2026 and NEET-MDS 2026 has been released by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). In the meantime, it is anticipated that the NEET PG 2026 exam will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026. According to the notice’s tentative eligibility requirements, candidates applying for NEET PG must finish their internship by September 30, 2026. NBEMS has further tentatively proposed NEET-MDS 2026 for Saturday, May 02, 2026, and their internship by May 31, 2026.

The board has made it clear that this is merely a preliminary schedule and that specific information about eligibility, the application procedure, the structure of the exam, and other crucial guidelines will be given individually through the corresponding information bulletins.

Thousands of applicants nationwide will benefit from this announcement by having more time to plan, prepare, manage internships, and concentrate on revision.

NEET-PG 2026 and NEET-MDS 2026 would be administered in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode at specific locations throughout India. The NEET-PG exam is the only way to get admitted to MD, MS, and PG Diploma programs, according to NBEMS.

NEET MDS 2026 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To appear for NEET MDS 2026, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Qualification: Must hold a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from a university/institute recognized by the Dental Council of India (DCI).
  • Registration: Must be registered (permanent or provisional) with the DCI or State Dental Council (SDC).
  • Internship: Completion of a 12-month compulsory rotatory internship by June 30, 2026.
  • Age Limit: No upper age limit; candidates must be at least 20 years old.
  • Attempts: No cap on the number of attempts, provided eligibility criteria are met.

NEET PG 2026 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To appear for NEET PG 2026, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Qualification: Students need an approved MBBS degree from the Medical Council of India and MCI registration. 
  • Internship: The candidate needed to finish the internship part no later than June 30th 2025.
  • Registration: Applicants need a provisional or permanent MBBS registration license.
  • Students pursuing their DNB (Diplomate of National Board) course must finish it prior to seeking entry into the system.
  • Students who enrolled in DNB broad speciality courses from January 2019 onward do not qualify for the 2025 admissions.
