HC Orders Bengal Govt to Ensure Maximum Preparedness for ‘Babri’ Event

The High Court has directed the Bengal Government to maintain maximum preparedness for the upcoming ‘Babri’ event to ensure safety and peace across the state. Authorities have been asked to strengthen security, increase coordination and take preventive steps to avoid any disturbance.

The High Court has now instructed the Bengal Government to remain fully prepared for the upcoming ‘Babri’ event and ensure that law and order is maintained across the state. 

The court has also issued this direction after reviewing reports and concerns related to large public gatherings and the need for careful monitoring.

The judges made it clear that the government must take every possible step to avoid any kind of disturbance or misunderstanding during the event.

According to the court, the administration should also work with a proactive approach instead of waiting for problems to occur. This means that police, district officials and also the emergency response teams must stay alert throughout the event period. 

The High Court has also highlighted that crowd management and safety arrangements should be treated with top priority, especially in the sensitive areas.

The Bengal Government has been asked to form a strong coordination system between police departments, intelligence units, district officers and disaster management teams. 

The idea is to make sure that the information should reach every every level quickly and that decisions can be taken without delay. The court has also said such coordination is very necessary to maintain the aspects of peace and prevent any accidental or planned disruption.

The order also mentions that the police deployment must be increased in places where large crowds are expected. 

This includes the marketplaces, religious locations, busy intersections and even the event venues. The presence of police officers not only helps manage the crowd but it also makes the public feel safe. Special quick-response teams may also be deployed to handle urgent situations.

Traffic control will be another important part of the preparation. The High Court asked authorities to create proper traffic routes so that emergency vehicles can move easily.

Clear instructions must be given to the public regarding the idea of road closures, various diversions and also the safety guidelines. Local officers must stay available to help people if they face confusion on the roads.

Apart from security, the court have also stressed the need for public awareness. The administration should provide clear information to citizens about rules, timings and even the safety precautions related to the event.

Peaceful participation and also the aspect of responsible behaviour from the public will help the event continue smoothly.

The High Court had also asked district magistrates to personally review the arrangements in their areas. They have been told to check whether police stations have enough resources, whether the CCTV cameras are working and whether emergency equipment is available. 

Officials also must ensure that hospitals and medical teams are ready in case of any health-related emergency.

The judges also spoke about the monitoring of social media platforms. Authorities should also meanwhile stay alert for fake news, rumours or messages that can cause tension. The court said that spreading misinformation should be dealt with strictly.
