The Importance of NTA Score
NTA score is a normalised percentile, which is aimed at being fair in the various exam shifts of different difficulty levels. The maximum mark of the raw score is not 100 but a 100 percentile, which means the candidate has scored higher than the rest in his/her session.
This system of scoring will enable a level playing field among the lakhs of candidates appearing in various dates and time slots.
What Happens Next?
As the JEE Main results are announced now, the successful candidates are progressing towards the next phase JEE Advanced 2026, which is planned to be conducted on May 17.
This test will decide admissions to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), and it will form the most important step to the students of the top rank.
An incredibly Competitive Year
The fact that 26 perfect scorers are there shows how competitive and well prepared the aspirants are. On the one hand, the number is close to the previous years, but, on the other hand, it also illustrates the extent to which the margin of the top ranks is now narrow.
To students, a slight variation in percentile may have a big bearing on their ultimate position and college choices, which is why JEE Main is among the toughest entrance tests in India.
